ArmInfo.Users of the Sberbank Online mobile application have the opportunity to make money transfers by phone number to the clients of the digital bank of Armenia - Evocabank. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Sberbank.

ArmInfo. The banking system  of Armenia in January- September 2017 sent 31.7 billion drams to the  state treasury, which is 13.6% higher than the figure of a year ago.  Of this amount, over 89.3% or 28.3 billion drams was paid for direct  taxes (including income tax and income tax), with an annual growth of  12.8%. According to the RA State Revenue Committee, in the first  hundred of the largest taxpayers of Armenia in the first 9 months of  2017, out of 17 operating banks, 12 (12 out of 19 of those operating  in the same period in 2016) fell. Among them in the top five banks of  taxpayers - Ardshinbank, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, VTB Bank  (Armenia), Ameriabank and Armbusinessbank, which figured in the top  five and a year earlier. Over the first 9 months of 2017, the top  five banks sent 16.5 billion drams to the state treasury (annual  growth of 18.7%), of which 15.1 billion drams - on direct taxes  (annual growth of 18.9%).

ArmInfo. Ardshinbank became a participant in the securities registration system of the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA) with the status of the operator of the depository system account. About it ArmInfo was informed in the press service of the stock exchange NasDaq OMX Armenia.  From now on, the clients of the bank will be able to access the services of the CDA, in particular the maintenance of the register of joint-stock companies and all services related to the storage of securities.  Thus, Ardshinbank became the 17th operator of the Depository System.

ArmInfo. The RA Ministry of  Agriculture as of September 19 received 16 applications for 1.606  billion AMD for participation in the state program of subsidizing  loans to processing enterprises for agricultural production.

ArmInfo. From October 1,  Prometey Bank will operate under a new name in the banking market of  Armenia - Evocabank is a rebranding under the slogan "On the way to a  new reality". The Chairman of the Board of Prometheus Bank Emil  Soghomonyan and the sole owner of the bank, the founder of  Zakneftegazstroy-Prometey and Prometei City Vazgen Gevorgyan  announced this on September 15 at a festive evening accompanied by  the appearance of the face of the image advertising company of the  Eurovision Song Contest-2016 Ivetta Mukuchyan and culminating  firework.

ArmInfo. The replenishment of  Armenian banks' capital base by 15% per annum on July 1, 2017, or by  85.1 billion drams ($ 177.1 million) made it possible to accelerate  the credit growth rate to 16.6% from last year's 9.5%. Activation of  banks in the credit market, in turn, increased net profit in the  first half of 2017 by 49.5% per annum - up to 19.2 billion drams ($  39.9 million).

ArmInfo. As of August 30 this  year, readiness to participate in the program expressed by 10 banks and 2  universal credit companies. These are ACBA Credit-Agricole Bank,  Ameriabank, ARARATBANK, Ardshinbank, Armswissbank, Converse Bank,  INECOBANK, Armbusinessbank, Armeconombank, Prometey Bank, as well as  UCC and .  

ArmInfo. To activate the bond  market of Armenia, a national scale of ratings is needed. Arshinbank  Risk Management Director Artak Arzoyan expressed this opinion in an  interview with ArmInfo, explaining that local investors and borrowers  dominate the national financial market, and an internal credit rating  is required for the issuance of debt securities of certain  categories.

ArmInfo. Converse Bank first USD  trench issue amounting $ 6 million passed first listing on NasDaq OMX  Armenia and entered Abond. As the stock's press service told ArmInfo,  the first USD tranche of the Bank (ISIN - AMCOVSB22ER9) is allowed to  conclude targeted trade and repo-transactions.   

ArmInfo. The Armenian banking system sent 10.1 billion AMD to the state budget in the first quarter of 2017 (or 9.8 billion without taking into account the combined Areximbank and the Armenian Development Bank), which is 8.6% higher than the figure of a year ago. Of this amount, over 88% or 8.9 billion AMD was paid on direct taxes (including income tax and income tax), with an annual growth of 8.5%.

ArmInfo. In 2016, the  banking system of Armenia paid 34.4 bln AMD in taxes, 16.9% less than  in 2015. Over 88% or 30.1 bln AMD of this amount was paid in direct  taxes (including profit tax and income tax), with a 19.1% decline  versus 2015. According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, 12  out of the functioning 17 banks (versus 13 in 2015) were among the  top 100 taxpayers of Armenia in 2016. The top banks among the  taxpayers were Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia), ACBA-Credit Agricole  Bank, Ardshinbank and INECOBANK, which paid 16.7 bln AMD in taxes  (down 22.3% versus 2015), including 15.1 bln AMD in direct taxes  (down 22.2% versus 2015).

ArmInfo. Anelik Bank for the  first time in its history has issued USD coupon bonds amounting to $5  mln with 6.5% annual yield and maturity period of 2 years. The press-  service of the Bank has told ArmInfo that payments on interest rates  will be made once in 6 months.  Minimal package for acquiring  contains 10 bonds with nominal value $100. According to the source  both physical and legal entities can purchase bonds in any of 14  branches of the Bank. 

ArmInfo. In Jan-Sept 2016 the banking system of Armenia paid 27.9 bln AMD or $58.9 mln in taxes, 12.5% less than in Jan-Sept 2015. The share of direct taxes (including profit tax and income tax) was over 89% or 25.1 bln AMD, 13.1% less than in Jan-Sept 2015.  The share of commercial banks in the total amount of taxes paid by top 1000 taxpayers was 5.3%. The top 1000 taxpayers paid a total of 525 bln AMD ($1.1 bln) in taxes in Jan-Sept 2016.

ArmInfo. By the end of 2016, the number of the Armenian banking market participants will be 17, i.e. the number will decline by 2 commercial banks. In October 2016, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group announced its withdrawal from the market. Its parental structure – the Russian Gazprombank - preferred to sell its subsidiary to Ardshinbank instead of undertaking capitalization, which was also done out of necessity to cover big losses. The Armenian Development Bank will also shortly be purchased by another quite active market player.  

ArmInfo. Central Bank of  Armenia has reduced the standard of compulsory reservation of the  raised funds in foreign exchange from 20% to 18% for banks and  extended the term of transferring the reserved amounts to CB to 20-30  days from the previous 2 weeks.  The Central Bank's press-office told  ArmInfo on September 26, the amendments to the Provision No.2  "Regulation of the activity of banks, basic economic standards of the  banking activity" were made on September 20 at the meeting of the  CB's Council.  

ArmInfo. Armenian banks paid 19.4bln drams taxes to the state budget in the 1st half of 2016, which is 13.7% lower than for the same period of 2015. Direct taxes (including profits and incomes taxes) amounted more than 90% or 17.4bln drams of total with a 15% decline year-over-year. According to the State Revenue Committee, 13 of the 19 operating banks were among top 100 biggest taxpayers in Armenia in the 1st half of 2016.  Top 5 taxpayer-banks were Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ardshinbank, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and Armbusnessbank, with four of them were among top 5 taxpayer-banks a year ago too. In the 1st half of 2016, the top 5 taxpayer- banks paid 10.1bln drams to the state budget (down 16.3% y-o-y), of which 9.3bln drams were direct taxes (down 16.8% y-o-y).

ArmInfo. Prometey Bank has announced the launch of a remote Prometey Mobile service, which will enable banking operations through smartphones and tablets. It will also allow the customers to follow and manage their accounts round the clock in any corner of the world.  The presentation of the app took place on June 14. Emil Soghomonyan, Chairman of the Board of Prometey Bank, made the opening speech. "Prometey Bank has never sought to be one of the largest banks of Armenia. On the contrary, we developed and approved a program to become one of the leading banks in the country in terms of introduction and use of innovation technologies," he said. He welcomed and thanked everyone for participation and said," Prometey Bank wishes to be in your pockets". 

ArmInfo. The Armenian banks considerably slackened lending in both corporate and retail segments. According to the Financial Rating of the Armenian Banks by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), in Q1 2016 lending to economy grew by 8.8% (versus the previous 15.4% rise) to 1.5 trillion AMD ($3.2 bln), and retail lending rose by 3.5% (versus previous 15.7% growth) to 745.7 bln AMD ($1.6 bln). In 2012, both segments experienced 31-37% growth. Afterwards they slackened growth to 8-19% in 2014, partly restoring the growth rates in corporate lending in Q1 2015, but slackening growth in retail lending. The share of the foreign exchange component in the aggregate loan book of the banking system increased from 62% to 67%, while the share of AMD component dropped from 38% to 33% (by April 2016).

Hereinafter Prometey Bank's customers can easily reach services of "Central Depository of Armenia" OJSC (CDA), specifically all the services related to registry keeping of joint-stock companies and securities safekeeping.
