ArmInfo. Armenia will close 2023  with GDP growth in the range of 8- 8.5%, instead of the 7% planned by  the state budget and the 7.2% expected by the budget for 2024. At the  same time, the country's GDP generation potential, as before, does  not exceed 5%, Armenia's former minister of finance Vardan Aramyan  told ArmInfo. 

ArmInfo.The increase of the share of domestic debt in the total government debt up to 47% in Armenia by  May 2023 can be considered from two aspects - both as an achievement by Armenia's economic authorities and their "involuntary" torpedoing economic progress, Armenia's former minister of finance, international expert Vardan Aramyan said in an interview with ArmInfo. 

ArmInfo. Daily tax losses of Artsakh due to the blockade of the Lachin (Berdzor) corridor, the only road connecting the republic with Armenia and the outside world, are estimated at 81 million drams or $204 thousand (395.9 drams per $), of which about 35 million drams are payments of mining enterprises. Vardan Aramyan, former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, international consultant on state finance management, said in response to ArmInfo's question, on March 29, presenting a report "On assessing the losses of the Artsakh economy due to the blockade", prepared by a group of economists commissioned by the Government of the Republic of Artsakh and former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan.

ArmInfo. The blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan causes great damage to the economy of the republic: the total financial and economic losses amount to at least 753 million drams or $1.9 million (395.5 dras per $) per day. This was stated by the former minister of finance of Armenia, international consultant on public finance management Vardan Aramyan, on March 29 in Yerevan, presenting a report "On the assessment of the losses of the economy of Artsakh due to the blockade", prepared by a group of economists commissioned by the government of the Republic of Artsakh and former state minister Ruben Vardanyan.

ArmInfo.With the current quality and level of investment, there is no need to talk about the growth of the economy's potential. Former Minister of Finance of  Armenia Vardan Aramyan expressed a similar opinion in an interview  with the Public Television.

ArmInfo. By the end of 2022, Armenia's GDP growth will reach 12-13%. At the same time, experts estimate the potential growth rates of the RA GDP at 4-4.5%.

ArmInfo. By the end of 2019, Armenia will not "provide" the deficit indicator set in the Law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2019". The Ministry  of Finance is inclined to the fact that according to the situation as  of December 31 this year the indicator will be much lower than the  fixed figure of 151.6 billion drams and will be about 42.5 billion  drams (1.6% / GDP). This is stated in the draft state budget for  2020.

ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Economic Growth and Investment Tigran Khachatryan is not worried about today's low inflation. Khachatryan declared this on May 3 at a  press conference answering the question of ArmInfo.Note that in 2018,  with GDP growing at 5.2%, inflation was only 1.8%instead of the  target of 4% (+ - 1.5%).  

ArmInfo.Head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan, believes that the republic can afford to reconsider the upper  permissible threshold of state debt "if there are plans to spend  loans in areas that guarantee results." He stated this on April 11 in  an interview with journalists.
