Christie Management buys Ukrprombank`s share in ArmBusinessBank


ArmInfo. The company Christie Management has filed an application for acquisition of 13.01% of Ukrprombank's shares in ArmBusinessBank (ABB), the ABB press-service reported. As a result, Christie Management will become the sole owner of ABB whereas at the moment the company is the holder of 86.99% of the bank's shares.

To recall, several days ago the bank set to sale its package of shares of ArmBusinessBank. According to ArmInfo data, ArmBusinessBank CJSC is an average bank in Armenia by the amount of its assets. In 2006 the shareholders of the bank became Ukrprombank Ltd. (35%), the Ukrainian insurance company Alpha-Garant (35%) and the offshore company Christie Management (30%) owned by large Ukrainian businessmen of Armenian origin. In III qt 2009 the ABB shares were redistributed, as a result, Alpha- Garant is no longer a shareholder, Ukrprombank decreased its share to 13.01%, and Christie Management increased its share to 86.99%. The statutory fund of the bank grew from 5.0 bln to 13.5 bln AMD ($35 mln).
