A card holder of Converse Bank awarded a trip ticket to Dubai
ArmInfo.Converse Bank held a draw within the frames of a joint campaign "Converse. Visa Boom" with Visa
International. The press-service of Converse Bank told ArmInfo that the campaign lasted from 1 Nov 2009 till 31 Jan 2010, and the draw under the given campaign took place on 20 February.
According to the source, the first prize holder out of 100 card holders of the bank, who obtained the maximal number of points, has been awarded a ticket trip to Dubai. The card holders who rank from 2 to 20 have received household appliances, those from 21 to 30 have been awarded Visa Gift cards worth 30 thsd AMD, and from 31 to 100 - additional cards. The campaign aimed to activate non-cash operations at trade outlets by means of Visa cards issued by Converse Bank.
In the framework of the action Visa card holders got 1 bonus point for each 1,000 AMD transaction in 25,000,000 outlets worldwide with the maximum bonus per 1 transaction being 50 points. No commission was charged for Visa Classic during the first year.
As a result of this action, the number of Visa cards has grown by 16%, the amount of non-cash trade operations by 32%, the amount of transactions by 23%, the number and amount of Converse Bank card transactions by 43% and 37%, respectively.
Shareholders of Converse Bank are Advanced Global Investments, a company controlled by Argentinean businessman Eduardo Eurnekian (95%), and Mother See of Armenian Apostolic Church (5%).
