Last week Armenian banks provided loans worth 18.4 bln AMD and $24.6 mln


ArmInfo. Last week (22-28 February) Armenian banks provided loans worth 18.4 bln AMD and $24.6 mln, the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo.

According to the source, over the current week (1-5 March) the banks bought $45.9 mln at the average exchange rate of 384,73 AMD/$1, and sold $61.7 mln at the average exchange rate of 386,49 AMD/$1 in the intrabank currency market (transactions with clients). No currency purchase and sale operations were carried out in the interbank currency market from 1 till 5 March. Over the given period currency purchase and sale operations worth $23.6 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 387,34 AMD/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia, the biggest volume having been fixed on March 5 ($9.5 mln).
