"Converse Bank" has defined a discount system of providing cards to depositor-customers
ArmInfo. "Converse Bank" CJSC has defined a discount system of providing cards to depositor-customers. The bank will provide issuance and service of cards free of charge to physical person customers investing term deposits in AMD with the term of 6 months and longer, the Converse Bank press-service reported.
Particularly the following procedure of free card service has been defined: In case of depositing AMD 500 000 - 2 000 000 VISA Electron, Cirrus/Maestro cards will be serviced free of charge.
In case of depositing AMD 2 000 001 - 5 000 000 VISA Electron, Cirrus/Maestro and VISA Classic, Master Card Standard cards will be serviced free of charge (also the cards with personal design).
In case of depositing AMD 5 000 001 and more, VISA Electron, Cirrus/Maestro, VISA Classic, Master Card Standard (also the cards with personal design), VISA Gold, Master Card Gold.
The given conditions will operate till the maturity date of the deposit, as well as in case of prolonging the deposit term. In case of providing credit card the card can be issued only in deposit currency and with credit limit till the maturity date of the deposit. In case of providing debit card the card can be issued in the currency preferred by the customer.
By data of Armenian Card, as of March 1 2010, there were 600 ATMs serving ArCa in the country. The ArCa member-banks issued 464622 cards as of March 1 2010. The share of local ArCa cards is 61.3% or 282593 cards, Visa International cards numbers 24.8% or 115032 cards and MasterCard - 13.9% or 63997 cards.
The shareholders of Converse Bank are Advanced Global Investments belonging to Eduardo Eurnekian (95%) and Armenian Apostolic Church Cathedral (5%).
