Ardshininvestbank set to reveal crimes at work independently


ArmInfo. Ardshininvestbank reveals crimes at work independently, thanks to regular internal control measures.

Ardshininvestbank press-service told ArmInfo that internal control at the bank has revealed infringements made by A. Baghdasaryan, the manager of "Vardenis" branch of Ardshininvestbank. The results of the investigation were submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office and a criminal case has been initiated against the manager. Thus, A. Baghdasaryan in cooperation with the specialist of the branch A. Hambartsumyan, private businessman Kh. Shaboyan and Director of Vasarat LLC, registered 396 false credits in the amount of 95 million 788 thousand drams and 27616 US dollars and transferred these sums to the accounts of Shaboyan and Vasarat LLC.

As the chairman of the management board Nerses Karamanukyan said: "The regular severe internal control system is to enhance the working discipline and responsibilities of the employees, as well as protect and improve the customer confidence over the bank".

As of Jan 1 2010, the majority shareholders of Ardshininvestbank were Business Investments Center (86.96%) and IFC (10%). The bank serves 55 branches, including 13 in Yerevan, 36 in regions and 6 in the NKR.
