ArmInfo. In autumn 2010 VTB Bank (Armenia) will open a back office in Yerevan. When replying to ArmInfo correspondent's question, Director General, Chairman of Directorate of VTB Bank (Armenia) Valery Ovsyannikov said at today's press conference that the back office will provide an opportunity to centralize and optimize all the business processes of the bank. "This will also allow our branches to be engaged in not bookkeeping, but sale of banking products and high-quality client servicing",- stressed Ovsyannikov.
In addition, VTB Bank (Armenia) is going to open a division to serve VIP clients and work out a wide range of social services. "We have an idea to create Private Banking",- said Ovsyannikov. He did not rule out the possibility that in the future VTB Bank (Armenia) may also come out with investments services and participation in funds, taking into account that the bank's shareholder owns one of the largest Russian investment companies - VTB Capital.
To note, in 2009 VTB Bank (Armenia) continued implementing the program on optimization and improvement of one of the largest branch networks in Armenia. As of 1 Jan 2010, VTB Bank (Armenia) had 68 branches, of them 24 in Yerevan, and 44 in the regions of Armenia. In 2009 the bank managed to complete the process of connecting its whole branch network in Armenia to the centralized system of client servicing. This process was launched in January 2008. The sole shareholder of CJSC VTB Bank (Armenia) is OJSC VTB Bank.
