Unibank to support development of classical music
ArmInfo. Unibank will sponsor a cycle of classical concerts to be held in Yerevan. The press service of Unibank told ArmInfo that the key goal of the action is to support Armenian composers and musicians over performances and contribute to popularization of classical music among youth. Both Armenian and foreign musicians will give performances on one stage. The source says that on May 15 the first concert of the cycle will take place at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after A.Spendiaryan, where the symphonic orchestra will perform the works by Gary Keosayan.
The concert will cover the jazz works of the composer, as well as classical compositions, including the symphony written for the theater staging of "The Forty Day of Musa Dagh" by Franz Werfel. The State Youth Orchestra of Armenia headed by Sergey Smbatyan will also participate in the concert. The choice of the Youth Orchestra is not accidental for Unibank. Thus, the bank provides another opportunity to young musicians to take part in an interesting creative project. American singer Indea will be a special guest at the concert. She has amazed the Armenian public with her voice and art of jazz performance for many times.
