said during the bank's third annual meeting today.
He said that the bank's strategy for this year is based on this forecast.
The interest rates of USD loans and deposits will continue to drop while those of AMD credits will grow. The present interest rate is optimal but is not playing a big role under present market conditions.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that in May 2010 there was 1% inflation, in Jan-May 2010 - 5.3%. During its last meeting the Central Bank raised the rate of refinancing by 0.25% to 7.25%.
