In Jan-June 2010 SMEDNC's credit portfolio totalled 65mln AMD
ArmInfo. In Jan-June 2010 the credit portfolio of the Small and Medium Enterpreneurship Development National Center (SMEDNC) totalled 65mln AMD.
They in SMEDNC report that 5 SMEs were provided with credit guarantees worth 26.6mln AMD during the period with their credit commitments totalling 81.6mln AMD.
The average interest rate under this program is 15.8%, the average size of a loan - 13mln AMD, the average amount of a credit guarantee - 5.3mln AMD.
The credit guarantee program is being carried out by ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Anelik Bank, Ardshininvest, INECO, Armbusinessbank, ArmSwissbank and VTB Bank (Armenia).
SMEDNC has so far assisted 2,851 start-up and acting SMEs. Besides issuing loans and credit guarantees, SMEDNC provides advising on how to promote goods and services and how to introduce modern technologies.
Most of the beneficiaries act in the regions - 74.2%, 25.8% are in Yerevan. 738 companies were from Kotayk region, 566 from Aragatsotn, 576 from Shirak, 482 from Vayots Dzor, 443 from Lori, 316 from Gegharkunik, 302 from Syunik, 277 from Tavush, 226 from Ararat, 142 from Armavir, 141 from Yerevan.
SMEDNC was established in 2002 and is the first national structure authorized to provide state support to SMEs.
In 2004-2010 the fund issued credit guarantees worth 1.5bln AMD to 362 SMEs. The credit portfolio totalled 2.75bln AMD, the credit commitments of the SMEs - 3.47bln AMD.
