Seven banks included in the list of 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia
ArmInfo. Over the first half-year of 2010 seven commercial banks of Armenia were included in the first 100 out of 300 largest taxpayers of the country.
According to the State Tax Service of Armenia, by the amount of taxes paid over Jan-Jun 2010 ACBA- Credit Agricole Bank became the first bank on the given list. Having paid a total of 1.7 bln AMD, 1.5 bln AMD of which being the profit and income taxes, the bank held the 18th position in the top 100. ArmBusinessBank ranked next, having paid 837.2 mln AMD, of them 813 mln AMD being profit and income taxes and held the 38th position in the top 100. Ameriabank replenished the state budget with 730.7 mln AMD, of them 602.1 mln AMD being the profit and income taxes, thereby having held the 48th position. It was followed by HSBC Bank Armenia, which held the 50th position in the top 100 thanks to 665 mln AMD taxes paid, of them 495.1 mln AMD being the profit and income taxes. VTB Bank (Armenia) held the 64th position, having paid 547.4 mln AMD, of them 519 mln AMD – profit and income taxes. Ardshininvestbank held the 65th place with 543.2 mln AMD, of them 493.8 mln AMD being profit and income taxes. Unibank held the 70th place with 518.3 mln AMD, of them 482.6 mln AMD being profit and income taxes.
At the same time, the list of the largest 300 taxpayers included Converse Bank (127th position), INECOBANK (158th position), Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (160th position), Ameconombank (171st position), Anelik Bank (172nd position), ArmSwissBank (175th position), Armenian Development Bank (244th position), ProCredit Bank (250th position) and ARARATBANK (285th position).
As regards the universal credit organizations, Aregak UCO held the 88th position on this list, having paid 395 mln AMD, of them 296.1 mln AMD being profit and income taxes. FINCA held the 110th position with 319 mln AMD, of them 230 mln AMD - profit and income taxes. ACBA Leasing held the 224th position with 155.7 mln AMD.
To recall, over the first half-year 2009, a total of 9 commercial banks of Armenia were included in the list of top 100 out of 300 largest taxpayers of the country, particularly, Ardshininvestbank, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, VTB Bank (Armenia), HSBC Bank Armenia, Unibank, Converse Bank, Ameriabank, INECOBANK, ArmBusinessBank.
As of 1 July 2010, there were 21 commercial banks and 28 credit companies in Armenia.
