Armeconombank restores its positions in top three banks by the number of branches
ArmInfo. On August 3 Armeconombank opened the 36th branch in number and the 18th regional branch in the town of Yeghegnadzor of Vayots Dzor region. The press service of Armeconombank told ArmInfo that one should consider the opening of the branch in the context of expanding the regional presence of Armeconombank and satisfying the needs in banking services of economic entities in the regions. The branch will provide the full spectrum of banking services.
The source says that the new branch aims to satisfy the population's demand for high-quality banking services, expand the bank's activity and opportunities to attract new clients. The up-to-date technological equipment of the new branch and professional staff will provide high-quality and effective services to the clients. With opening of the new branch, the bank rose from the 4th position to the 3rd one by the branch network coverage (18 branches in the regions, 17 in Yerevan, 1 in Nagorno-Karabakh).
According to the latest data, as of 31 July 2010 the total capital of Armeconombank amounted to 8.5 bln AMD, total assets - about 48 bln AMD, provision of crediting - about 25 bln AMD, deposits of individuals - 6.3 bln AMD. Over Q2 2010 the net profit of Armeconombank totaled 300 mln AMD.
To note, the family of entrepreneurs Sukiasyans is the majority holder of Armeconombank's block of shares with 53,4%, and 25%+1 share is controlled by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
