In Q2 2010 interest rates of AMD deposits grew to 10.4%, while rates of USD deposits dropped to 6.8%
ArmInfo. ArmInfo. In Q2 2010 the interest rates of AMD deposits grew by 0.4% to 10.4%, while the rates of USD deposits dropped by 0.9% to 6.8%.
As a result, the difference between the AMD and USD rates made up 3.6% against 2.3% in Q1 2010.
According to the Central Bank's report on Q2 2010, during the period the rates of AMD loans grew while the rates of USD credits dropped: by 0.2% to 19.4% and by 1.8% to 12.9%, respectively. As a result, the difference between the rates made up 6.5% against 4.5% in Q1 2010.
In June 2010 the difference between AMD credits and deposits made up 9% (0.2% less than in Mar 2010), while the difference between USD credits and deposits - 6.1% (-0.9%).
According to the ranking of the commercial banks of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), July 1 2010 the credit portfolio of the 21 commercial banks of Armenia totalled 838.9bln AMD or $2.3bln - 2.3% more than in Q1 2010 - while the deposit portfolio - almost 696bln AMD, of which 347.2bln AMD ($944.8mln) were deposits by individuals.
