Payments via Internet are becoming relevant in Armenia


ArmInfo. The volume of communal payments and internet-trade has amounted to 870.3 mln drams (54257 units) in Armenian in August having increased fourfold if compared with the same period of 2009.

As Armenian Card reported, 438.8 mln drams communal payments via Internet were implemented in August which is by three times more as against August 2009. The number of payments amounted to 29224, having increased by 59,3% if compared with the same period of 2009. The volume of internet-trade in August 2010 increased threefold as against August 2009 - up to 431.5 mln drams (number - 25033 with annual growth by 45,6%).

At the sane time the volume of transactions from one card to another one amounted to 259.2 mln drams in August 2010 having grown by 12,3% if compared with August 2009, and the number of transactions from one card to another one grew by 43,7% - up to 2883 transactions.
