Internet payments abruptly grow in Armenia
ArmInfo. In September 2010 the volume of communal payments and internet trade in Armenia amounted to 1004.6 mln AMD (57972 transactions), having grown 5 times as compared with the same period of 2009.
Armenian Card CJSC told ArmInfo that in September communal payments via internet amounted to 506.3 mln AMD (almost fourfold annual growth), and the number of payments totalled 31511 (63,9% annual growth). The volume of internet trade grew over four times in September 2010 to 498.3 mln AMD (26461 transactions with 48,3% annual growth).
At the same time, the volume of card-to-card transfers amounted to 281 mln AMD in September 2010, having grown by 25% as compared with September 2009, and the number of card-to-card transfers grew by 43,4% to 3081.
