Ameriabank is in the lead by credit portfolio
ArmInfo. Over Jan-Sep 2010 Ameriabank increased its credit portfolio by 37%, and by 98% as compared with Jan-Sep 2009, having ensured 88 bln AMD (about $244 mln). According to the preliminary data of the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia as of 30 Sep 2010 prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), by its credit portfolio Ameriabank holds the first position in the Armenian banking system, the consolidated balance of the leading banks exclusive.
The press service of Ameriabank told ArmInfo that the flexible tariff policy allows the bank focusing on corporate clients to continue crediting these clients on more attractive terms. Thanks to this, 87% of Ameriabank's credit portfolio growth was ensured due to crediting corporate clients, the volume of which rose by 38% in Jan-Sep 2010. As of 1 October 2010, 84% or 75 bln AMD (about 208 mln USD) of the bank's credit portfolio falls on corporate clients.
At the same time, Ameriabank is actively crediting individuals as well, and this is proved by the dynamics of this index growth - by 29% over Jan-Sep 2010, almost twofold (by 99%) annual growth.
According to the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia as of 30 June 2010 prepared by ArmInfo, Ameriabank held the 2nd place by its credit portfolio of 85.4 bln AMD (70,4% of assets), having ensured 26% growth over Q2. In the structure of the credit portfolio about 30% fell on the industrial sector, over 15% - on trade, about 10% - on transport and communication. At the end of the first half-year of 2010, the net profit of the bank amounted to $3.4 mln, and by this indicator Ameriabank held the 5th position in the banking system of Armenia.
