In Q3 2010 amount of non-cash plastic card transactions in Armenia grew by 25% to 10.5bln AMD


ArmInfo. In Q3 2010 the amount of non-cash plastic card transactions grew by 25% to 10.5bln AMD - 7.5% of all card transactions.

The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that internet transactions totalled 2.6bln AMD (0.5bln AMD - e-trade, 2.1bln AMD - card to card). The average monthly amount of non-cash plastic card operations made up 5,000 AMD.

At the end of Q3 2010 there were 681,432 plastic cards in Armenia: 44% were local ArCa cards, 37% - Visas. There are 778 ATMs, 3,195 POS-terminals, 25 - imprinters in Armenia. 20 Armenian banks issue plastic cards. 19 of them are members of Armenian Card system.
