Araratbank triples number of MasterCards


ArmInfo. Araratbank has tripled the number of MasterCards to almost 7,000.

ArCa cards have a lion's share in the bank's card portfolio - over 38,000 (28.3% annual growth). The total number of cards issued by Araratbank had grown by 40% as of Oct 1 2010.

This year the bank has installed 13 new ATMs and 19 new POS-terminals and now has 41 and 114, respectively. In Jan-Sept 2010 as compared with Jan-Sept 2009 the amount of ATM transactions grew by 62%, that of card transactions - by 85%.

The majority shareholders of Araratbank are Flash oil trading company (74.1%) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (25%+1). The bank has 32 branches (15 in Yerevan, 16 in regions and 1 in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic).
