Ardshininvestbank refutes information about inspection allegedly held by FBI agents in the bank
ArmInfo. Ardshininvestbank, one of the largest banks of Armenia, has refuted the information about inspection held by the FBI agents in the banks. To note, the information was published in Armenia-based Zhamanak (Time) newspaper.
The press service of Ardshininvestbank told ArmInfo correspondent that the given information is absolutely false. According to the source, the FBI has applied to the bank with neither the demand of holding any inspection nor the demand of providing of any information. The source also pointed out that the chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia also refuted the information about the inspection allegedly held in the country's banks by the FBI agents.
To note, the information about possible inspection in the commercial banks of Armenia was disseminated by some media, including ArmInfo, in connection with the case on a big fraud in the sphere of medical insurance in the United States, to which Armenian citizens and Armenian Diaspora representatives were privy. The matter concerns laundering of over 100 mln USD.
