ArmInfo. By late February 2011 Unibank will launch its own processing center. The press service of Unibank told ArmInfo that today Unibank's processing center operates in the test mode, within the frames of which Unibank will start issuing Visa chip cards of various categories, including Visa Infinite.
According to the source, with the launch of Unibank's own processing, the clients will be offered a special loyalty program, under which the card holders will have an opportunity to accumulate bonuses when doing shopping and receive benefits from partner companies of the program. Thereby, the clients will receive an opportunity to considerably reduce their expenses when paying for goods and services due to the bonuses. In addition, Unibank is going to reduce the interest rates of loans.
Director for Retail Business Development of Unibank Mesrop Hakobyan says that the key goal of the bank is to prove to the clients that it is profitable to keep their money in the bank. "The card holders should perceive a plastic card not only as a tool for cash withdrawal, but also an opportunity to receive a number of advantages they will be unable to receive in other places, as our products are unique", he says.
According to the latest data, today the number of cards issued by Unibank is 63 thsd, of them 51 thsd are international Visa cards.
