VTB Bank (Armenia) awards a prize to the most active customer of MoneyGram money transfers
ArmInfo. Today the leadership of VTB Bank (Armenia) announced the name of the winner of the bank's joint action with MoneyGram money transfer system. Robert Melik-Sahakyan, the winner, was awarded a VTB-Visa plastic card with 200 thsd AMD on the account.
Head of the Retail Business Development Department of VTB Bank (Armenia) Artak Khachatryan said that a total of 9 thsd people participated in the action. The action was held from 1 Sep 2010 till 31 Dec 2010 for the bank's customers that carry out foreign exchange money transfers. He thanked MoneyGram for the fruitful cooperation and pointed out that this gives an opportunity to the bank to make pleasant surprises for its customers.
To recall, VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became a participant in VTB international financial group in April 2004. At present, VTB Bank OJSC, the second largest bank in Russia, owns 100% of shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). The bank traditionally occupies the leading positions in the banking system of Armenia by a number of key parameters. At the moment VTB Bank (Armenia) has the largest branch network in the country (68 branches).
According to the results of 2010, the number of the bank's money transfers under the systems MoneyGram, Migom, Blizko, Inter Express, Anelik, and Bystraya Pochta has reached 175 thsd, and the volume - 30 bln AMD (30% annual growth). Of them 14 thsd transfers worth 2 bln AMD fell on MoneyGram.
