Online trading and payments for communal services becoming popular in Armenia


ArmInfo. Online trading and payments for communal services totaled 6.3 billion drams 2010 (625594 transactions), the growth versus 2009 was 142.3%.

CJSC Armenian Card told ArmInfo, communal payments totaled 3.2 billion drams (up 136.3%) or 336606 transactions (up 52.9%). Online trading grew 146% to 3.1 billion drams. The number of transactions grew 40.4% to 288988 transactions.

The share of card-to-card transfers made up 3.4 billion drams (34958 transactions), the decline as against 2009 was 22.5% (the number of transactions grew 39.5%).
