In 2011 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC to increase number of its ATMs and POS-terminals
ArmInfo. In 2011 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC will increase the number of its ATMs to 58 and POS-terminals to 170. Deputy Director General of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group Rouben Khachatryan told ArmInfo that within the next few years the noncash payment service will be intensively developing.
According to him, at present the Armenian market of plastic cards is intensively developing due to big competition of banks. "This is confirmed by the fact of abrupt growth of emission of cards and volume of transactions, as well as new card services recently introduced by Armenia's banks", he said and added that in 2011 the commission fees for issue and service of debit cards will keep on declining.
To note, the sole shareholder of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC is Gazprombank OJSC (Russia). It is a principal member of the international payment systems VISA (since 2002) and MasterCard International (since 2005), as well as a member of the local payment system ArCa (since 2009) with the status of a serving bank. In 2009 the bank completed the migration of its own processing center to the processing center Gazprombank OJSC (Russia). Areximbank-Gazprombank Group was the first Armenian bank to introduce the service of ordering international plastic cards on-line. As of 1 Jan 2011, the number of the bank's ATMs was 44, and POS-terminals - 128.
