ArmInfo. According to the results of Luxury Magazine's survey, Chairman of Board of Anelik Bank Samvel Chzmachyan has been recognized the Banker of 2010. The press service of Anelik Bank told ArmInfo that the survey was held in three stages by 50 nominations and was aimed at revealing the most famous and successful workers in the spheres of politics, culture and art.
Samvel Chzmachyan is a banker with the biggest experience of work in the banking sphere over the past 10-15 years. Starting from 1980 he held the leading posts in the Armenian division of the USSR State Bank, headed the Armenian division of Vneshtorgbank, in 1990 he headed the Armenian division of Vnesheconombank, and in 1994-1995 Chzmachyan headed the Moscow-based Glombank. He has been heading Anelik Bank for over 15 years.
"The big experience of work is worthily assessed in case of a devoted and self-forgetful attitude to one's beloved work. I consider this award to be the merit of the whole banking system, as over the past 2-3 hard years the banking sector managed to stand the crisis situation and maintain all the positive qualities characteristic of this sphere. I am deeply convinced of the sustainable firmness of Armenia's banking system", said Chzmachyan and expressed his gratitude for the award.
To note, Anelik Bank was established in 1990. In 1997 the bank created the Anelik money transfer system operating in 93 countries. It is the only bank in the Armenian banking system that has a branch in Moscow - "Anelik.RU" LLC. Anelik Bank has 11 branches (5 in Yerevan, 6 in the regions). As of 1 Jan 2011, the bank's assets made up 60.1 bln AMD, provision of crediting - 29.7 bln AMD.
