Areximbank-Gasprombank Group to deliver $6.5 mln for mortgage crediting in 2011


ArmInfo. Areximbank-Gasprombank Group will deliver $6.5 mln for mortgage crediting in 2011. As press-service of the bank reported, in 2010 the bank granted just $2.5 mln for mortgage crediting.

"A big bank should not distance itself from any of the banking business types. Its portfolio should be diversified. For this reason, we are not going to refuse crediting of individual persons. In 2011 we are going to make efforts for the active fulfillment of the mortgage crediting programmes, especially that the standards used in the bank make it possible to keep the quality of its portfolio at a rather high level trying to avoid unfair customers", - Deputy director General of Areximbank-Gasprombank Group, Vigen Barsegyan, said.

To recall, Areximbank-Gasprombank Group is a participant in the mortgage programme of the German KfW bank, as well as the National Mortgage Programme and the state programme "Available house for young families". The bank was founded in 1998. OJSC "Gasprom" (Russian Federation) owns 100% shares of the bank.

According to the Ranking of Armenian commercial banks prepared by Arminfo, as of 1 January 2011 by the mortgage crediting Areximbank-Gasprombank Group occupied the 12th position in the banking system of Armenia.
