In 2011 Ardshininvestbank intends to increase its credit portfolio by 35-40%
ArmInfo. In 2011 Ardshininvestbank intends to increase its credit portfolio by 35-40%, Chairman of Board of Ardshininvestbank Karapet Gevorgyan told ArmInfo correspondent. He added that as of the end of Q1 2011 the credit portfolio of the bank amounted to almost 80 bln AMD.
The bank is going to increase its credit portfolio at the expense of activation of retail crediting, provision of loans to large, medium and small enterprises, as well as card projects. However, in the future the bank will focus on retail crediting and SME crediting. "The development of these segments is quite natural, their potential is not exhausted, especially in the regions of the countries", Gevorgyan said.
The bank will also actively work at the growth of trade financing. The given tool is potentially interesting for Armenian businessmen, especially against the background of tangible recovery processes in the country's economy, particularly, against the background of stabilization and slow economic growth.
"The trade financing was frozen by the banks for some time because of the financial crisis, and this caused certain problems in the economy in general and for the businessmen in particular. Now the relevance of the given tool will grow, and for our part, we are ready to transit to aggressive policy in this field", said Gevorgyan.
To note, at the moment the trade financing portfolio of the bank is $3 mln, but it may grow by 30-40% by the end of the current year.
