Armenian Card receives PCI DSS compliance certificate
ArmInfo.   Armenian Card (ArCa) National Payment System has received a PCI DSS compliance certificate from Informzashita Audit Company. The audit conducted in December 2010 reaffirmed ArCa's compliance with the required standards, Armenian Card CJSC told ArmInfo. 
The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data.  The PCI Security Standards Council is an open global forum for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection. The PCI Security Standards Council's mission is to enhance payment account data security by driving education and awareness of the PCI Security Standards. PCI Security Standards Council lists the audit companies meeting all the requirements. Informzashita has been included in the given list from the very beginning. The company has been expanding its geographic presence and the spectrum of services year by year. 
The leadership of Informzashita Audit Company says PCI DSS compliance protects cardholders against data falsification and card forgery and guarantees high quality services.  Armenian Card CJSC was founded in March 2000. In December 2000 it became a full member of MasterCard International and in 2001 became a Member Service Provider of MasterCard and Third Party Processor for Visa International. By the latest data, Central Bank holds 66% in Armenian Card and the 17 ArCa member-banks hold by 2%.
