Armenia on 3rd position in CIS and EU as to inflation for Jan-Mar 2011
ArmInfo. Armenia took the 3rd position among the CIS, EU countries as well as Canada, Norway, Brazil, Korea, USA, Turkey and Japan in terms of inflation for Jan-Mar 2011 - 5.2%. Armenia took the 12th position together with Luxembourg, Brazil, Estonia and Moldova in terms of 0.8% consumer prices index growth for March 2011.
In February 2011 Armenia was on the 8th position with 0.9% consumer price index growth sharing it with Ireland, the Netherlands and Ukraine.
By data of Eurostat and IMF, in Jan-Mar 2011 Kyrghyzstan was the first with 6.4% inflation (2.6% - 2nd position in March). Belarus was the second with 6.1% inflation for Jan-Mar (1.9% for Mar - 5th position). Georgia was on the 4th position with 4.9% inflation (no changes for Mar). Russia was on the 5th position with 3.8% inflation (0.6% for Mar - 14th position). Azerbaijan was on the 10th position in terms of 1.1% consumer price index growth for March (no data for Jan-Mar). The lowest consumer price index growth in march was in Kazakhstan - 0.5% and for Jan-Mar - 3.3%. No data for Tajikistan.
In the CIS, EU, Canada, Norway, Brazil, Korea, USA, Turkey and Japan no decline of consumer price index was registered in March. In Jan-Mar this index fell 0.1% in Malta. In the EU, consumer price index grew 1.1% (versus 0.5% in Feb), and 1.2% for Jan-Mar. In the USA the index grew 1% for Mar 2011 (2% for Jan-Mar), Turkey - 0.4% (1.6% for Jan-Mar), Germany - 0.6% (0.7% for Jan-Mar), France - 0.9% (1.15 for Jan-Mar), 0.3% in Great Britain (1.1% for Jan-Mar), Spain -2.4% - 3rd position (1.1% for Jan- Mar). The highest consumer price index growth was in Poland - 3.2% for Mar 2011 (0.8% for Jan-Mar).
In December 2010 versus December 2009 Armenia was on the 4th position in terms of 9.4% consumer price index growth in th4e CIS, EU, Canada, Norway, Brazil, Korea, USA, Turkey and Japan. Kyrgyzstan was on the 1st position with 19.25, Georgia was on the second position -11.2%, Belarus was the 3rd with 9.95 and Ukraine was the 5th with 9.1%. In average in the EU, consumer price index grew 2.6%. Decline of this index was registered only in Irelands and Japan - 0.2%-0.3%.
