Unibank is leader in terms of individuals' time deposits


ArmInfo. Unibanks remains the leader in the banking system of Armenia in terms of time deposits, time deposits of individuals, and time deposits in total liabilities. The press service of Unibank reports with reference to the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), as of late Q1 2011 the time deposits of the bank amounted to 69.6 bln AMD, of them about 67% or 46.6 bln AMD fell on the deposits of individuals (almost 8% quarterly growth). The share of time deposits in the total liabilities of Unibank made up 72.5%. Unibank's share in the summary time deposits of individuals in the banking system made up 14%.

At present Unibank offers both standard and personal deposits to individuals ("Multi-currency", "Capital+", "With replenishment", "Profitable+", "Grand Prix", "Convenient"), the terms of which allow the depositors to choose the optimal method of keeping and accumulating funds. In particular, depending on the type of the deposits, customers can replenish or partly withdraw the placed amount, make use of the multi-currency mode, make capitalization of interests or receive a right to participate in drawing of prizes.

According to the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia by ArmInfo, as of 1 April 2011, the total liabilities of Unibank amounted to 96 bln AMD (almost 5% annual growth). In their structure the share of call liabilities made up 14.3% or 13.7 bln AMD (10% quarterly growth), most of them (76%) were accounts of legal entities (19.5% quarterly growth). Thanks to this, Unibank is in top three in terms of efficiency of financial means stability (19.8%).
