Rosgosstrakh Armenia is leader in motor third party liability insurance


ArmInfo. As of today Rosgosstrakh Armenia insurance company has paid 620mln AMD in motor third party liability insurance compensation.

According to the company's press service, Rosgosstrakh Armenia has received 3,040 applications: 2,670 of them have been satisfied, 351 are being examined, 19 have been declined. The key reasons for the decline were the absence of a third party and the collision of cars belonging to one and the same family or person.

The average amount of compensation was 200,000 AMD, the biggest one was 1.5mln AMD. In 58 cases the compensation exceeded 1mln AMD.

In the past five months Rosgosstrakh Armenia's Contact Center has received 21,200 calls (4,240 calls a month) with 5,000 insurance cases registered. The number of road accidents in Yerevan is 2.6 times bigger than in regions. In Feb 2011 there were 37 such cases.

According to the Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), Rosgosstrakh Armenia is leader in motor third party liability insurance. The shares of individuals in the amount of premiums and the number of contracts are 94% and 97%,respectively.

In 2010 the total amount of the company's insurance premiums redoubled to 1.9bln AMD Jan 1 2011 (2nd rank among Armenia's insurance companies).

The sole shareholder of Rosgosstrakh Armenia is Rosgosstrakh LLC (Russia). The authorized capital of Rosgosstrakh Armenia totals 2.13bln AMD ($6mln). The company has 10 sales offices in Yerevan and 11 - all over the country.
