Pension cards served by Areximbank-Gazprombank Group expected to grow to 3000 by late 2011

The specialists of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group expect the number of pensioners served by the bank within the frames of the state project on pension cards launched in March 2011 to grow to 3000 by late 2011. The press service of the bank told Arminfo that at present the number of the pension cards issued by the bank is 462, of them 335 VISA Electron cards and 127 MasterCard/MAESTRO.
According to the source, the opening and serving of a banking (card) account, the issue and provision of the cards, cash withdrawal, blocking and unblocking of the cards, returning of the cards seized by ATMs, provision of monthly account statements, and ensuring of noncash payments are done free of charge for pensioners. The commission fee for cash withdrawal from the card account at the service points of other banks in Armenia is fixed at 0.5%, payment for returning of the cards seized by the ATMs of other banks - 200 AMD, payment for restoration of the PIN-code - 700 AMD, and payment for re-issuing of the card - 900 AMD.
To recall, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC was established in 1998. The sole shareholder of the bank is Gazprombank OJSC (Russia). The bank is the principal member of Visa and MasterCard international payment systems, as well as member of the local ArCa system with permission to serve and issue cards.
