UNISTREAM's turnover in Armenia exceeds $277mln
ArmInfo. In Jan-June 2011 UNISTREAM's turnover in Armenia totalled $277.4mln - 28.7% more than in Jan-June 2010.
The press service of Unibank reports that 361,600 money transfer transactions were registered during the period - 12.6% more than a year before.
There are several factors explaining UNISTREAM's popularity in Armenia: reasonable tariffs, wide network (200,000 outlets in almost 100 countries), opportunity for customers to receive money at any Unibank branch.
The key project of UNISTREAM in 2011 is unified customer card, an opportunity of quick and easy money remittance. The cards are given to both senders and recipients.
UNISTREAM President Suren Hayriyan says that this card is an opportunity to send and receive money quickly avoiding red-tape and losing no time.
700,000 people have already obtained such cards with the share of UCC transactions in the total flow being 65%.
UNISTREAM was the general sponsor of MONEY TRANSFERS MOSCOW 2011, an international conference organized by IAMTN. This event is held on a regular basis for operators and companies acting in the field of money transfer. Over 40 financial, non-governmental and other organizations took part in the conference this year.
The strategic partner of UNISTREAM in Armenia is Unibank CJSC. The system transfer money in USD, EUR, RUR and AMD. Its share in Armenia's total money transfer flow exceeds 50% with over 70% of transfers to Armenia carried out by means of unified customer cards.
