Travel insurance market to grow by 10-15% a year


ArmInfo. The travel insurance clientele of Armenian insurance companies will grow by 10-15% annually in the next 4-5 years, First Deputy CEO of INGO Armenia insurance company Arevshat Meliksetyan said in an interview to ArmInfo.

He said that by the end of this year INGO Armenia will have 20,000 such customers against 17,724 in 2010 and 12,833 in 2009. In Jan-June 2011 the company insured 7,530 tourists. In 2009 the company paid 296,700 AMD (maximum compensation being 3.2mln AMD), in 2010 175,000 AMD (3.2mln AMD), in Jan-June 2011 - 465,000 AMD (4.750mln AMD).
