Ameria opens a representation in the United States
ArmInfo. Ameria Group has registered its representation Ameria Group Inc. in L.A., California. Head of Corporate Banking of Ameriabank Gagik Sahakyan told journalists in Yerevan on Monday that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, officials and businessmen from Armenia and Diaspora attended the presentation of Ameria Group Inc., which took place on September 25.
Sahakyan said that the key mission of Ameria Group in the United States will be to represent the investment and legislative fields of Armenia at a proper level. In particular, the efforts of Ameria Group Inc. will be aimed at providing all the potential investors and persons interested in implementation of projects in Armenia with advisory services and full information about the investment and business environment in the republic, as well as about the tax and customs administration. "The office opened in the US is a positive step towards attraction of new investments to Armenia", he stressed.
Head of Legal Practice of Ameria CJSC, David Sargsyan, pointed out that the company's representation created in line with all legislative standards of the US will become a kind of bridge with Armenia and a loyal partner not only for Armenian Diaspora's investors, but also for wide business circles. He added that the US investors will be properly informed of the country's business environment and will receive consultation about the opportunities, which will simplify their entry to the investment field of Armenia.
When replying to an ArmInfo correspondent's question, he explained that the opening of the office in the US is conditioned by the fact that the American market needs to be better informed of the investment field of Armenia. As compared to the Russian market, with which our market has traditional ties and is clear to the Russian investors, the US has a conservative Diaspora consisting of representatives of the fourth generation of US Armenians.
"Taking into account the necessity to clarify that Armenia is not such a hazardous zone indeed from the political and economic points of view and that the investments are protected here, we have opened the office in the US", said Sargsyan. He added that according to the surveys, the potential investors are most of all interested in the Armenian property market, ore mining industry, M&A, as well as in the sphere of telecommunications.
