Since early 2011 credit portfolio of National Mortgage Company grew by 47.3%
ArmInfo. Over Jan-Sept 2011, the portfolio of refinanced mortgage loans of the National Mortgage Company (NMC) grew by 47.3% to 14.744 bln AMD by 1 Oct 2011 (1992 loans).
According to the official data of the company, over September the company refinanced 138 mortgage loans worth 881 mln AMD.
At present the NMC has general agreements with 15 commercial banks and 3 credit organizations: ArmBusinessBank, ARARATBANK, Armeconombank, Artsakhbank, Anelik Bank, Areximbank- Gazprombank Group, Ardshininvestbank, VTB Bank (Armenia), HSBC Bank Armenia, INECOBANK, Byblos Bank Armenia, Unibank, Armenian Development Bank, Converse Bank, ArmSwissBank, as well as First Mortgage Company, Global Credit, and Express Credit.
The National Mortgage Company was established on 16 June 2009 by the decision of the Central Bank of Armenia. As of 1 July 2011, the authorized capital of the company amounted to 8 bln AMD, total capital - 8.4 bln AMD. The assets totaled 12.983 bln AMD (2nd position), 87% of which fell on provision of crediting (1st position).
