As a result of lottery on time deposit "Chance" of Converse Bank 6 depositors won 1 mln drams
Arminfo. Today Converse Bank drew the lottery on the time deposit "Chance", within the frames of which 6 depositors won 1 mln drams. Anahit Sargsyan won 750 thsd drams, and the rest 5 depositors won 50 thsd drams each. The total of 46 depositors, which had opened the deposit accounts on the time deposit "Chance" from 1 May to 30 June, took part in the drawing of lottery.
As representative of Converse Bank Lusine Margaryan said, the peculiarity of the time deposit "Chance" is that a lottery will be drawn per quarter. The deposit is taken in Armenian drams for 36 months. The minimal sum of deposit is 50 thsd drams. 6 depositors will win as a result of each drawing of lottery. The award fund of each lottery is 1 mln drams. The next drawing of lottery on the "Chance" deposit will take place on 31 January 2012. Within the frames of the "Chance" action 430 depositors opened the deposit accounts.
Margaryan said that at present Converse Bank attracts the "Yerevan" deposit at the interest rate of 12% p.a.
In January 2012 a draw will be organized for the depositors of "Yerevan", and this time the winners will receive 5 small gold bullions weighing 5 grams.
According to the balance data of Converse Bank as of 30 Sept 2011, the liabilities before the customers made up 105.6 bln AMD, 85.2 bln AMD of them being foreign exchange liabilities (twofold growth since early 2011), and 17.4 bln AMD - liabilities in the national currency (38.2% growth). In the total liabilities of Converse Bank, almost 70% falls on foreign exchange liabilities before the customers, and the AMD liabilities make up over 14%. As of 30 Sept 2011, the time deposits in Converse Bank amounted to 26.5 bln AMD, having declined by 10% since early 2011 due to the 39.7% reduction in the funds on the legal entities' deposit accounts, whereas the funds on the individuals' deposit accounts grew by 11.8%.
Having reduced the funds on the time deposits, the legal entities considerable increased the call liabilities - 3.4 times, whereas the individuals' call liabilities grew by 24.1%. To note, the shareholders of Converse Bank are Advanced Global Investments controlled by Eduardo Eurnekian (95%) and the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin (5%).
