In Jan-Oct 2011 Rosgosstrakh Armenia paid 2bln AMD in insurance compensation


ArmInfo. In Jan-Oct 2011 Rosgosstrakh Armenia paid almost 2bln AMD in insurance compensation.

According to the press service of Rosgosstrakh Armenia, since the adoption of the law on motor third-party liability insurance the company has received 7,920 compensation applications, with 7,250 of them satisfied and only 34 declined (because the application was filed later than three months after the event or the cars involved in the event were owned by one and the same person or his relative).

In Jan-Oct 2010 the company's Contact Center received 50,900 calls (6,610 in Oct, with 1,460 concerning road accidents). The average daily road accident rate is growing and in Oct was 50 road accidents a day.

Since the beginning of this year the company has registered 322 road accidents causing injuries.

Rosgosstrakh Armenia was set up in May 2008 and is part of Rosgosstrakh Group (Russia).

According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, in Jan-Sept 2011 the company collected 5.6bln AMD in premiums (1st place among Armenia's insurance companies). The authorized capital of the company totals 2.13bln AMD or $6mln.
