In Jan-Nov 2011 number of Anelik money transfer transactions grew by 50%
ArmInfo. In Jan-Nov 2011 as compared with Jan-Nov 2010 the number of Anelik money transfer transactions grew by 50% to 1,405,088 transactions, while their amount grew by 14% to $951.5mln.
The press service of Anelik Bank reports that by the end of 2011 the turnover of the Anelik system will exceed $1bln.
"Since the crisis year 2009 we have recovered our money transfer turnover. The Anelik system is actively used not only by Anelik Bank but by other correspondent banks - Armeconombank, Araratbank and Armenian Development Bank - who have also registered growth in both the amount and number of Anelik transactions," says Arman Shuhyan, Head of Correspondent Relations and Financial Transactions of Anelik Bank.
In 1997 Anelik Bank was the first Armenian bank to create its own international money transfer system. The system covers almost 500 banks in 100 countries. Anelik Bank is the only Armenian bank to have an affiliate bank in Moscow - Anelik Ru. The majority shareholder of Anelik Bank is Lebanese Credit Bank.
