Monetary stock of Armenia up 30% for almost of a year
ArmInfo. In November 2011, the monetary stock increased by 1,6% and totalled 591 bln AMD ($1.5 bln) as of 1 December. According to the CBA's preliminary data the National Statistical Service of Armenia provided ArmInfo, for 11 months of 2011, the monetary stock of Armenia grew by 27,6%, and by 29,8% versus the same period of 2010. The internal assets increased by 14,7% and made up 143.3 bln AMD as of 1 December 2011. The external assets decreased by 1.9% for Nov 2011 and made up 447.7 bln AMD (up 4,7% for Jan-Nov).
In the structure of the monetary stock the cash volume grew by 0,2% for Nov 2011 and amounted to 368.4 bln drams as of 1 December 2011. This indicator grew by 17,7% for Jan-Nov 2011.
In the total volume of the monetary stock the share of the dram holdings amounted to 19,7% or 116.3 bln drams, up 9,3% for Nov 2011. The share of the obligatory currency holdings was 16,6% or 98.4 bln drams, down 1,3% for Nov 2011.
