Lists of large taxpayers of Armenia expected to grow in 2012
ArmInfo. The number of large taxpayers of Armenia will be increased to 462 economic entities in 2012 against 440 in 2011 and 344 in 2010, Ashot Arzumanyan, Head of the Largest Taxpayers Department of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, said at today's meeting with the large taxpayers of the country. He pointed out that the expected growth of the largest taxpayers lists demonstrates the growth of the taxpayers' incomes.
As of late 2011, nearly 60% of tax revenues were ensured by the large taxpayers, while in 2010 this index made up 54.5%, he said. Arzumanyan pointed out that in 2011 about 14,000 large taxpayers presented their progress reports in e-version. "In 2012 special attention will be paid to liquidation of shadow turnover among the large taxpayers", he said.
He added that in 2011 the large taxpayers replenished the state budget by 204 bln AMD tax deductions (19% annual growth) and 40 bln AMD compulsory social payments (43% annual growth). "In the given tax payments the share of direct taxes (profit taxes and income taxes) grew to 59.3%, or 121 bln AMD against 97 bln AMD in 2010", said Arzumanyan.
As of 1 Oct 2011, the list of the largest taxpayers of Armenia was led by Zangezour copper-molybdenum plant. ArmRusgasprom CJSC ranked next. K-Telecom (VivaCell-MTS trademark) was the third.
