Armenia and IFC to sign $.19mln agreement
ArmInfo. The Government of Armenia approved on Thursday a $1.9mln agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). 
The money will be provided for the improvement of the business clime in Armenia. 
Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that, according to a number of international organizations, in 2011 Armenia significantly improved its business climate.
Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan said that the agreement will help the country to enhance its competitiveness and to improve its ranking on the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index.  Armenia joined the IFC in 1995 and has so far received $147mln under 28 financial, banking, agribusiness, industrial, energy and mining projects. In 2010 the IFC provided Armenia with $70mln (twice as much as in 2009). 
The Corporation believes that Armenia's agriculture, retail and industry also have good development prospects.
