Under program of social package for state officials, RESO insurance company concludes several dozens of contracts
ArmInfo. Under the program of the social package for state officials, RESO insurance company has already concluded several dozens of contracts on medical insurance. The marketing service of RESO told ArmInfo that the company started concluding the contracts on Feb 13 2012. The first insuree of the company was an employee of the State Water Committee of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration.
To recall, the state budget of 2012 envisages a social package worth a total of 18 bln AMD (47 mln USD) for the state officials (over 110 thsd officials). Under the given program, the employees of the state structures will be able to use the "non-cash" financial assistance of the state in four directions: medical insurance, redemption of mortgage interest, payment for education, and payment for a vacation in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Medical insurance is a compulsory component of the program, and the basic package of medical insurance is 52 thsd AMD.
When acquiring the basic package of medical insurance at RESO company, the insuree is provided the service "My medical center", which, in its turn, includes a number of free services. In particular, the insuree can independently choose the medical establishment, to undergo a planned medical examination, to receive treatment and other services.
To recall, RESO entered the market of individual medical insurance in July 2011Ј®¤ , having launched the RESOMED program. The price of the policy starts from 30,000 AMD. The given program has recently been replenished with a new dental component "Healthy Tooth": the company's customers can also join the dental service program for 15,000 AMD.
To note, at the moment 5 out of 8 operating insurance companies in Armenia are engaged in medical insurance. In the first half of 2011 the volume of premiums from this type of insurance amounted to 707.6 mln AMD, with the y-o-y growth being 46.4%. Corporate insurance is the basis of voluntary medical insurance in Armenia.
RESO insurance company was founded by RESO-Guarantee, one of the largest insurance companies in Russia. The Armenian subsidiary of the Russian insurer entered the market in November 2008. According to the Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), over Jan-Nov 2011 RESO collected premiums worth 2.213 bln AMD (4th position in the market), the volume of insurance indemnities made up 718.169 mln AMD.
