One of the 100 most active Visa card-holders of VTB Bank (Armenia) granted a ticket for two to Dubai
ArmInfo. As a result of a draw held in the framework of VTB Bank (Armenia)-Visa "Winter with VTB Bank" campaign, one of the 100 most active Visa card-holders of the bank Samvel Sargsyan has been granted a ticket for two to the United Arab Emirates.
The other card-holders were granted 49 certificates for the purchase of domestic appliances and 50 certificates for VTB Bank (Armenia)'s –1% loan or +1% deposit.
"The campaign was aimed to stimulate non-cash Visa card transactions and to raise local consumers' awareness of the advantages of Visa cards. The campaign received wide response among our card-holders as it was held at the time when non-cash transactions are preferable," Head of the Retail Banking Department of VTB Bank (Armenia) Artak Khachatryan said during a press-conference on Thursday.
He added that the Bank is going to hold similar actions mostly aimed at enhancing the quality of customer service, stimulating growth of noncash payments and applying a wider range of card instruments.
The analysis of the results has shown that the Visa card holders made the biggest number of operations in supermarkets. The second most popular category of trade and service enterprises is the shops of clothes and electric appliances. In addition, the payments via internet have considerably grown. Over the three months of the campaign (from 1 Nov till 31 Jan 2012), the number of noncash operations with Visa cards of VTB Bank doubled as compared to the same period of 2010-2011. At the same time, the turnover by Visa cards of VTB Bank (Armenia) over the period of the campaign grew by 40% (or by 1 bln AMD). The average daily number of operations with Visa cards over the period of the campaign was 6,000.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became a member of VTB Group in April 2004. At the moment VTB Bank, the second largest bank in Russia, owns 100% of shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). The bank has the largest branch network in Armenia (68 branches).
