Devaluation of Armenian dram to US dollar is 6,5% in February 2012


ArmInfo. Devaluation of Armenian dram to US dollar was 6,5% in February 2012 versus February 2011. As Armenian National Statistics Service reported, in February 2012 the average exchange rate was 388,63 AMD/$1, against 365,06 AMD/$1 - in February 2011.

The dropping of the consumer prices in Feb 2012 as against January by 0,9% was accompanied by devaluation of the dram to US dollar by 0,3%. In Jan-Feb 2012 against the background of inflation by 2,6% the devaluation of the dram to US dollar was 1,4%. In Jan-Feb 2011 the inflation was 4,3% and devaluation of the dram to US dollar was 1,3%, and only in Feb 2011 inflation was 1,9% and devaluation of the dram to dollar 0,7%.
