In 2011 Unibank made over 810 thsd UNISTREAM money transfers worth $673 mln
ArmInfo. In 2011 Unibank made 810.1 thsd UNISTREAM money transfers worth $673 mln. The press service of the Bank told ArmInfo that the number of money transfers exceeded the index of 2010 by 8%, and the turnover of the system was up almost 13%. Today the share of UNISTREAM in the Armenian market is approximately 50%. It is envisaged to increase the share to 80% due to constant implementation of projects on enhacement of the customers' loyalty. The process of expanding the partnership network of UNISTREAM in Armenia has started since Dec 2011. As a result, 7 Armenian banks have already joined the system - Prometey Bank, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ardshininvestbank, ArmBusinessBank, INECOBANK, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and ARARATBANK. The number of UNIStream's partners in Armenia is already 8, including Unibank.
According to the source, throughout the year the system considerably enhanced the attractiveness of UNISTREAM for the customers and partners and intensified its work in all dimensions of development: expansion of partnership and development of the network, considerable enhancement of the quality of services and introduction of many options. UNISTREAM offers its customers a free unified card, which considerably simplifies the procedure and allows minimizing the time of transfers. In Armenia already 80% of the transfers are made by means of this card. Unibank also gave an opportunity to the customers to receive the transfers without visiting the bank: the remittance can be transferred to the baming card by means of a telephone call.
Unibank also offers a special product to the customers of UNISTREAM transfers - a U-Stream+ card with a áredit line of up to 150 thsd AMD. All the individuals who made use of the UNISTREAM system for sending or receiving money transfers can have this card. To receive the credit line, the customers are to present their passports and social cards. Given that the U-Stream+ credit line is meant for its own customers, Unibank included additional priveleges in the card services. In particular, withing the first year the service is free, commission fee is 0%, and the Bank adds 5% p.a. to the positive balance of card account.
The UNISTREAM system is convenient and profitable for the customers not only by its additional options, but also by its optimal tariffs - from 0.35%, simplicity and wide geography - the system operates in almost 100 countries of the world. It is not necessary to open a banking account in order to send a transfer, the remitee bears no expenses. At the points of UNISTREAM in Armenia one can receive and send addressless transfers. In 2011 a total of 7.1 mln money transfers were made under the international UNISTREAM system (growth versus 2010 being 17%).
