"Armbusinessbank" to launch its own fully functional processing center
Arminfo. "Armbusinessbank" (ABB) will launch its own fully functional processing center, which will make it possible to raise much the competitive ability of the retail business of the bank as well as to reduce its expenses, press-service of the bank reported.
The work on the basis of the own processing center will allow the bank to independently make emission and acquiring of cards of international payment systems VISA and Master Card, to reduce the time for their issue and reduce expenses for giving service to its own plastic business. "The migration of the card business of the bank to the SmartVista platform will become the starting point for creation of new payment products and services", - chairman of the board of CJSC "Armbusinessbank", Ara Kirakosyan, said.
According to the bulletin "Armenian banks in the card business" prepared by specialists of Arminfo, as of 1 October 2011, the total number of active cards of "Armbusinessbank" amounted to 41652 units (growth by 21,5% versus the same period of 2010), 19481 of which were ArCa cards, 8651 - MasterCard and 13520 Visa cards.
According to the ranking of Armenian bank prepared by Arminfo, as of 1 January 2012, the total capital of "Armbusinessbank" amounted to 23,4 bln drams, the assets - 168,4 bln drams. The undistributed profits of the bank in 2011 amounted to 1,8 bln drams. To recall, Unibank was the first in the banking sector of Armenia that launched its own processing centre in the middle of 2011. According to experts, Armenian banks spend $2-2,5 mln for creation of their own processing centers.
