14 banks join the list of top 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia
ArmInfo. By the end of Q1 2012, 14 Armenian banks joined the list of the top 100 largest taxpayers of the country.
According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, over Q1 ACBA Credit Agricole Bank took the lead among the banks (18th position), having paid a total of 780.1 mln AMD to the budget, with 745.3 of this amount being profit and income taxes. HSBC Bank Armenia ranks next (25th position) with 685.5 mln AMD, of which 609.5 mln AMD was profit and income taxes. Ameriabank occupied the 26th position with 668.1 mln AMD, including 636.8 mln AMD profit and income taxes. The 27th place belongs to the Iranian Mellat Bank, which paid 666.7 mln AMD, including 662.9 mln AMD profit and income taxes. The top five largest taxpayer-banks is accomplished by VTB Bank (Armenia), which held the 32nd place with 605 mln AMD, of which 565.6 mln AMD was profit and income taxes.
The list of the top hundred largest taxpayers also includes Unibank (46th position - 455.8 mln AMD, including 433.7 mln AMD profit and income taxes), ArmBusinessBank (48th place - 429.8 mln AMD, including 414.9 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Ardshininvestbank (61st place - 369.5 mln AMD, including 349.6 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Prometey Bank (66th position - 314.6 mln AMD, of which 311.6 mln AMD was profit and income taxes), ARARATBANK (70th position - 305.6 mln AMD, of which 275 mln AMD was profit and income taxes), Armeconombank (82nd position - 248.3 mln AMD, including 223.7 mln AMD was profit and income taxes), INECOBANK (85th position - 239.6 mln AMD, including 226.3 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Converse Bank (89th position - 225.7 mln AMD, including 210.4 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (95th position - 217.2 mln AMD, including 183.7 mln AMD profit and income taxes).
ProCredit Bank is the 148th biggest tax-payer with 132mln AMD paid in taxes (89.8mln AMD in profit and income taxes), Armenian Development Bank - the 160th with 122.7mln AMD (121mln AMD), Anelik Bank - the 167th with 118.7mln AMD (106.6mln AMD), ArmSwissbank - the 214th with 94mln AMD (87.3mln AMD), Byblos Bank Armenia - the 240th with 81.2mln AMD (80.4mln AMD).
In Q1 2011 there were 12 banks among Armenia's biggest tax-payers. VTB Bank (Armenia) was the 24th, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank - the 30th, Ardshininvestbank - the 42nd, Unibank - the 47th, HSBC Bank Armenia - the 50th.
