Areximbank-Gasprombank Group - the first in Armenia Visa acquiring-partner in e:commerce sphere


ArmInfo. "Areximbank-Gasprombank Group" has become the first in Armenia Visa acquiring-partner in e:commerce sphere. As director general of the bank Armen Khandkaryan said at today's press-conference, the launching of the first Internet acquiring project in Armenia will lead to raising of the share of the non-cash accounting, to decreasing of expenses for small and medium-sized business and will help the trade and service companies to get an access to the global market of e:commerce.

He also added that at present the bank has emitted about 80 thsd international Visa cards, and owns about 150 big salary projects. "The development of the card business is one of the priority directions of activity of the bank. We go on enhancing our positions and offering Armenian customers new products and services", - he emphasized. He said that for preparing to acquiring the bank is going to hold permanent training seminars for employees of different companies and organizations.

For her part, Visa business development manager in CIS countries, Irina Kamkhadze, said that the project with "Areximbank-Gasprombank Group" is an important point on the way of e:commerce development in Armenia. She also added that for the 1Q 2012 the number of the emitted Visa cards in Armenia grew by 35%, the circulation in the trade nets - by 43% and the number of operations in the trade and service nets - by almost 80%.

The participants in the press-conference emphasized that the Visa Internet-acquiring is a modern, reliable and safe machinery of payment for goods and services in Internet.
