BTA Bank to increase credit investments by as many as half by the end of 2012
Arminfo. According to the results of 2012, BTA Bank is going to increase credit investments by 50-60%, deputy executive director of the bank, Gayane Ayroyan, told ArmInfo correspondent when commenting on achievements of the bank and its plans for future. She recalled that over the past year credit portfolio of the bank grew by almost 80%. "The quality of the credit portfolio also improved much - the volume and the number of problematic credits reduced", - she said.
She also added that the bank has improved the main business processes much, in particular, it has managed to enhance risk management, to increase profitability of credit operations, to increase credit portfolio and to change its structure. "This is a long and not so easy process. It is very much important to display a team spirit and solidarity here", - she said.
According to the Ranking of Armenian commercial banks prepared by Arminfo, credit investments of BTA Bank grew by 22% for a year, and by 14,6% for the 1Q 2012 and amounted to 5.5 bln drams by the end of the 1Q 2012. The assets of the bank grew by 15,8% up to 9,8 bln drams.
